rear main bearing on 1970 350

Question rear main bearing on 1970 350

#1I have two rear bearing shells for my 1970 350.One has a large hole the other, three small holes.I cant recall witch goes on the eng.side? #2All have oil grooves accept the one half in the front"why is this" #3 Is the tork 60-80 on mains, rear 100-120. Its been 20yrs I just cant remember!

#1...Match the main bearing with big hole to the oil feed hole in the block
#2...The non- grooved shell has a centered locating tang, unlike all the others. Match it with the centered main, located in the cap of #1 main. That should be the ONLY one it can fit...If not, go back to the machine shop. That crankshaft main is cross drilled. So what, just install as explained.
#3...80# on 1-4, 120# on 5th main, I usually go only to 110#.

Thank's for the info, and your time.I got it the first time, I just didn't trust my old brain!Hate to build it and go back into it.
