I joined, why can't I post???

Tried posting on a forum in here and it says that I'm not allowed to. Why not? What do I have to do? This is the only means that I can see to contact the site. Hope this works. I am a registered member. What else does it take?

I think you got a message in error. Did you actually compose a message and when you clicked on the "save" button then you got that message? As you stated, you are a registered member and should have no troubles. I will take a look at your profile in the admin cp and see what I can come up with.

Everything looks good. Try to post someplace and if you still have trouble send a PM to Paul (Omicron). He will be able to figure it out for you. Welcome to CO.

You have to post 5 times in the Newbie forum before posting in the other forums. We did this because we had trouble with spammers in the past.

Jesse, we removed those restrictions. As soon as a member is "registered" which is after the first post, they have no posting restrictions.

Since you posted a reply by asking that question, I think you meant to ask how does a person start a new thread. To do that you have to be in the forum heading that applies to your subject to be posted, it lists all the existing posts. there is a similar bubble for posting a reply in the left corner area that is labeled "new thread". Click on that blue bubble and compose your first post of the thread, you also have an opportunity to give the thread a title, which you should.
