Diy

I am a rookie to this site and can't find the DIY section. I have a 370Z , on the Z forums there are excellent DIY's from members.
There are a few projects on my schedule & would love some tips.

Patient: 69 442 convertible
Project: R&R A/C compressor clutch. R&R convertible weather strip on top & doors. R&R steering gearbox with faster ratio.

Suggestions for best place to purchase parts will be much appreciated!

Happy Motoring,

Spencer

If your looking for free info this is great place here! You want to join the website wildaboutcars.com. Free to join and use! You will have to print everything out to use while working on the car. FYI on your compressor clutch you will need the special puller and installer tool to remove and press the new clutch on.

On the parts, there is no catch all for parts on your car! you will have to use multiple vendors, Fusick seems to be the top choice here.

Welcome!
Your power steering gearbox can be rebuilt with a faster ratio by Power Steering Services. Weatherstrip is pretty easy. Fusicks has it. Metro and Steele brands are two of the top ones to use.

What happened to "Year One" & Brothers Auto. When I did the original resto 10 years ago they were the go to, but I was disappointed in the quality.

Year one is super expensive and their knowledge on Olds is limited.
Brothers has had a bad reputation - do a search on them here and be forewarned.
Parts place is not TOO bad. OPGI is like YO, just not as expensive.
Legendary Auto interiors is THE place for soft trim and upholstery.

Yes Chip had my box for about 4-5 weeks. Send it in as soon as you can and by time you finished your other resto work, the box will hopefully be in.
