Odd part search: reinforced 90deg hose bend
Curious if anyone has seen a part like this. The fluid cooler I'm using has an outlet pointed downward and ends up only 3" or so from the bottom of the core support. I have a 3/8" hose connected to it, but the bend is a little tight and the hose wants to collapse.
I'm looking for the same thing as a 90deg PCV elbow commonly seen on the parts store wall, but needs to be reinforced and formulated to work as a tranny cooler fitting.
Unfortunately there's not enough tube to cut off the bubble and add an AN adapter. The tube is too thick to flare for an AN nut and there's not enough room to get a good flare tool on there.
Thanks!

Mine is the earlier unit with three circuits. That's the later year with two circuits. They had a different usage (hydraulic driven radiator fan) in the first generation. So I have one cooler for engine, tranny and power steering. With separate circuits. It's not one huge cooler just for transmission.
Retro, the problem is silicone will break down in presence of petroleum products. An OEM application probably has a liner or different formulation.
My favorite parts guy found a Gates unicoil covered in dust. Giving that a try. It's the one for 3/8" hose, but is actually a bit large for this hose. I also got the Gates 3/8" elbow, but it is surprisingly small and flimsy.

Great find Sir Padavano. Looks like they may have the 90* bypass hose in this reinforced material for our Olds engines. Whats offered today is nothing like the OEM spec hoses. The new repro stuff is thin wall and bulges with RPM, new out of the box. I was forced to put a good 30 year old bypass hose on a newly detailed engine for fear of the new one bursting. The Repro hose clamps lack significant resolution to apply correct clamping force. The repro clamps work great on the OEM hose. But do not provide enough clamping force on the new junk....similar to your Deltas front shocks in which new parts that dont fit!
