72 Supreme Directional lamp issues

I'm trying to finish up my 72 Supreme restoration which was a complete frame off which I know can cause problems. My issue is with the directional and safety flashers.

Symptom: Safety flashers do not come on at all. I have no front side marker lamps when headlamp switch is pushed in or pulled out. With headlamp switch not pulled out blinkers work but side marker lamps will flash with all other blinker lamps.

With headlamp switch fully engaged the indicator lights in the speedo unit both light steady. All other symptoms remain same with headlamp switch engaged.

Help!

The four way flashers are a separate flasher module from the turn signals, so look at that for that problem. The turn signal issue sounds like the classic bad ground at the front turn signal sockets.

Thanks Joe, You hit it on the head. Had time to work on it tonight and as soon as we properly grounded the assemblies the issue went away. The four way flashers don't work so more than likely a worn out switch. Not going to drop the column again so I think we will live without them. As long as OCA doesn't go NCRS I'll be fine.

Thanks again!

Are you sure it's not just a bad flasher? The flasher module for the four way flashers is separate from the one for the turn signals. The four way flasher is the one on the fuse box. Also, you don't need to drop the column to get to the switch, just pull the steering wheel.
