495 stroker motor back from speedshop!

Thanks yes very excited! We built a 426 hemi last year and this thing is way more intense. I don't know what the mufflers are called. I can find out. Borrowed them from a guy at work that offered them. I have a video but I don't know how to upload videos here.

Going to start putting it in the car Friday!!! Hopefully this weekend we make a lot of progress. I will take it to the track at some point to see what it can do if anyone is interested to see how a stroker performs.

Seeing as how you didn’t dyno it, do you have a wideband in order to tune it correctly?

No I havn't, my engine builder is old school. I'll look for some links on tuning with one. He's a holly guy so this quickfuel is nothing new to him. He had it running smooth and sounding great as it was.

I’ll never understand why guys spend thousands of dollars on something but won’t spend the last couple hundred bucks to do it right.
I’m sorry but I don’t get it.

If you watch for one of these ebay sales where you get a coupon code for a percentage off any purchase, you can get a new AEM for 15-20% off. I picked up a brand new UEGO X-series gauge for like $143 shipped from an authorized AEM retailer. It's definitely worth that... it's even worth the $172ish normal price, and you can install it in an hour or less. Keep your new engine from getting loaded up with fuel.

I've got one of these on my 97 Harley with the early fuel injection that nobody can seem to tune right. My EVO motor is way far from stock and using a 15yo tuner it runs better than a new Harley tuned by a dealer. I have a spare I use for tuning peoples cars as well. Best money you can spend. When I was in the business we paid well over 10K for that technology in the mid 90's

Update
Exhaust being tweaked today. It really helped on performance. Went from a hard pull at 3000 in 2nd gear to actually breaking tires loose in second gear. Pretty impressive for a automatic. Wideband installed and jet kit purchased. Will supertune in next couple weeks. REALLY LIKE THE CAM MARK RECOMMENDED! Thumpy and crazy powerful. Spent some time dressing up wires under dash etc. Pics with air cleaner added.

Hey guys. Just thought i'd say hey and throw out a update. One thing I've learned when you cross the 500 horse mark is the tranny is the first thing to go. Mine lasted a couple weeks. My cousin did similar things to his 427 and burnt up his almost immediately also. While it was down this winter I decided to change to the rocket racing oil pan and high volume oil pump with restricted pushrods. Feel better about having great oil pressure. I also added a solid motor mount to the driver's side. I actually dinged one of my header tubes on the passenger side with the massive torque twist. I've learned a lot and am having fun leaving insanely long 15-20mph punch burnouts in side country roads. WIsh I could show a mini video on here. Look out mustangs and camaros!!
