Trunk lock rusted shut?

Trunk lock rusted shut?
As the title says, I think my trunk lock is rusted shut. I've left the trunk open to avoid disaster and been lubricating the lock with PB Blast. I have the correct key, but cannot get it to turn. Any suggestions to either fix or replace the lock? I'm hoping to keep the same trunk and just replace the lock. Any help is appreciated.

First, you need to determine if the problem is with the lock or the key lock cylinder... Separate the lock cylinder from the lock mechanism by removing the clip/retainer for the lock cylinder and pulling the cylinder out from the trunk lid... Using a thin blade screw driver try to function the lock mechanism through the lock cylinder hole... If the lock still will not turn the mechanism is the problem... Also test the lock cylinder by inserting the key and making sure it will turn freely... If you can't turn the key inside the cylinder the tumblers are most likely worn causing the problem, or even the key could be worn to a point where it is not fully engaging the tumblers...

The bezel is crimped onto the cylinder housing. A locksmith should be able to crimp it back on for you, assuming there is sufficient metal left on the housing. It came apart for a reason, and it may be loss of metal due to corrosion.

What does the back side of the bezel look like??? As stated above, the bezel just crimps over the cylinder... It is possible the lip on the cylinder is worn and won't allow the bezel to stay in place...
