60’ improvement?

How to improve 60’ time if your not spinning? More gear, less weight?

In progress. Have a set of ported heads and little bigger cam.

Was mostly curious if there is any need to worry about suspension stuff if I’m not spinning. Have been 1.69 @ 3,700 pounds on 275 drag radials.

If you're sure you're not spinning, then it's gears, convertor and power.
What are you using for each?

(and you could ALWAYS be thinking about cutting weight)

Gear , converter , weight. I'm hitting 1.56 60 ft. Times with my 72 cutlass with a 350 olds . It only has a 3.90. I really need a 4.30 but it's all one fine dance. The right suspension parts and set up will work wonders. Along with a good torque converter.

I got a 4500 stall and still drive it on the highway around town. Regularly 30 to 50 miles or so on weekend drives.
