quick question gents, do we have a thread, or a sticky on a guide to the big block olds? what I mean is, like a quick referenece to proven mods to the heads, block, rotating assembly, part numbers, interchange parts, for the best recipies for building a performance big block?

i searched around and didnt see anything jump out at me, if not, it probably would be a good idea to have for reference when building engines,

to give you a good example i read an article awhile back on oiling system modifications, and what this person did was modify the oil return ports in the heads because they get clogged up and are a bad design... as opposed to reducing the oil to the top end, which i never think is a good idea. but i have brought this up to people in my travels and no one has ever really thought about it.

i think it would be a good idea, if we havent done it already, to have a thread on important mods and numbers for the 455 like the cheap tricks sticky
