My Winter Upgrades List

Made alot of changes and improvements to my Olds this winter.
Here they are in no particular order.
Strange Pro Steel front Disc Brake kit
Calvert Racing 90/10 front shocks
Moroso Trick Front Springs
New upper ball joints and refinished 67 GS spindles
Braille 15# racing battery
All new battery cables and grounds
Battery moved to firewall where heater box would normally be
Metco Driveshaft Loop
B&M 5" shifter cable
PPP shifter mounting brackets to move shifter rearward 4 inches
UMI rebuild kit for Southside Machine Lift Bars
Air Lift Air Bags for rear coils
Polyurethane bushings for ears in rearend
New axle seals
M/T Sportsman Fronts
All new fliuds throughout
Alot of swiss cheesing, shorter bolts, butchered bumper brackets, and misc weight removal.
With the brakes and battery I know I lost around 55 pounds.

Might still add a glass rear bumper and HVH carb spacer but not 100% on these yet.

My best time last summer was 11.52 @ 116 with a 1.55 sixty.
Hope all this accounts for a few tenths.

It is true when they say it takes 100 lbs loss to lose a .1 in ET.

I'm curious as to why you didn't put the battery in the trunk?

I had mine there for years but got tired of it taking up trunk space. Cutting up the trunk for cutoff switch handle and cables. Running a second cable in order to kill the car and alternator.
3 years ago I moved the battery to the stock location back up front and it didnt slow the car or change the 60s.
So this year I went with the 24 pound lighter battery and moved it to shorten the cable lenghts.
These are my reasons for doing this.

Sounds like you were quite busy. Got any new pic's to show change in stance? On a side note, what ever came about on your oil out the fill tube issue?

No pics yet. Still finishing up a few things and the car is still on jack stands.
I had to wrap the breather with paper towel at the track last summer to not have a mess. I removed the breather tube for this year to see what happens. I'm running a pcv valve and the mopar style brathers that moroso make, the ones with the small tube off them which I'm told are pretty restrictive.
I think my issue may have been that the rings werent seated all the way but who knows at this point.
I'm starting to collect parts for my next buils which is a few years away. Stock stroke 455, billet main caps, good rods, light pistons with more compression, roller cam, bigger valves, and victor intake.
