I'm installing a factory ram air/442 hood! what's involved to convert my factory air cleaner so the hood is functional? can I buy a repo or factory lid and use my base.

350 or 455, is the intake stock. If you were able to use your base you would need a smaller cover that just covers the filter so the air can get into the base from the hood scoops. This stuff is all sold online. Not cheap. I am not sure of interchange but there are a few differences in the bases. The OAI base has a hole on each side that grommets fit into that connect to tubes and then to the valve covers grommets for ventilation recirculation from engine. There is also a drain hole that gets rid of rain water etc. that gets into the base from the scoops. Others will chime in to tell you more like if you can use your base or not. Good luck.
