Next Stroker

EFI’d 428ci
4.125” Mahle piston
4.00” Stroker crank
Eagle I beams
Lunati Hyd roller 238/242@.050 112lsa

Decent Procomp/Speedmasters
Comp cams 1632-16 rockers
RPM intake bunged for port injection
Wilson manifolds 1300cfm throttle body
Holley dual sync dist
Coil on plug
AEM Infinity 508 ECU

Made 480ish on a carb, we’ll see what it does with EFI on both pump gas and E85. This is a flex fuel build.

Sequential or batch fire?

Is there a noticeable difference in performance & drivability between the two?

When using sequential, can injector firing be "timed" similar to changing ignition timing.

All good questions Nick.
Sequential, yes you can change when they fire.
Usually not much difference in power between the two modes but dtivesbility is normally better in sequential mode, especially with larger cams.
And one of the reasons I really like the AEM Infinity is that you can run two Widebands that can be configured to treat a V8 like two four cyl engines, controlling each bank of injectors independently of each other. Cool stuff.

Did you use the same carb on the 434 stroker? What injectors are you using?

Thank you! Working on another project, the epitome of cool (in my opinion). Hope to have a running application by years end.

I guess its not electric. What are your thoughts about a high performance electric motor?

Not sure what this will be. But it has the back two mains of a 403 Old's.

It’ll have the new Edelbrocks on it but I’m not going to say anymore, other than it’s not electric.

Ok, here you go.

First pull, 33* of timing, 93 pump. Probably a little more in it as it’s a bit lean but we’ll be moving over to E85 very soon.

Most of the build details were already given but just to add it’s just over 10.0:1 with 2.07/1.68 valves I believe(we pulled them from another set of heads). Flow was mid 250’s at .600, cam lift is .587 I think.
Other than that everything else is listed.

Every thing is listed? How about the the:

1. BSFC
2. Fuel flow
3. VE
4. Correction factor
5. Barometer
6. BMEP

It would be nice to see how you arrive at the numbers

Air mass/sec, VE and fuel flow are calculated thru the ECU. The real target here is pump gas vs E85. ECU will tell me that as well.

Thank you. Again the real focus is pump vs E85. The cam favors that as well.

Correct Mark. The valves / springs came from a set of edelbrock heads we did at champion racing that I shipped from another motor.
Those parts went into the bare pro-comps that were built around this motor. Those edelbrock heads now are collecting dust. 😜

I’m well aware of that build, I get your point. I know you don’t think much of me anyway so……
And posting that on this particular thread was a pretty tacky thing to do by the way, no relevance, apples and oranges.

To be honest it was a miss post in the wrong area, so I sincerely apologize. This thread was under the thread I wanted to post in as in similar threads.
As far as not thinking much of you, you are dead wrong !!! I think you have done more than some self proclaimed Olds experts. You are responsible for helping to bring many new performance products to the Oldsmobile community and have a loyal customer base that is happy with there performance engine builds. One of your customers lives not to far from me so you are creating a large customer base, good on you!
I'm even trying to encourage a good friend to go with your small block stroker packages because I think its a cool build with lots of up side.
The problem with the internet or email is that its hard to read intent in to what the person is saying. I not trying to be a douche.
