How many have had trouble with the bolting the drivers side bolt closest to fire wall?

 

What kind of a problem are you having? Cant fit a wrench or a socket in there? What brand of headers are you using?

 

I am not having problems i know that bolt can be tough to get installed on some brand of headers. I came up with two solutions.#1 is a stud #2 which worked the best for me is slot that hole in the header and have the bolt loosely installed and slip the header into it.

 

Good idea but my headers already came with the slot.

 

I use the shortest possible 7/16 open end and manage......

 

I usually tighten that one from under the car.

 

I cut my wheel housing in the front to have access to the header bolts from the wheel openings. So I do it with the car jacked up partially. So much easier.

 

I didn't have any issues with the bolts. Heddman Hedders built in the late 1980s.

 

I did mine so I wouldn't have to bend over the fenders. Much easier on my back
