However it is not recommended for performance applications, just for "my ***** are bigger than yours" applications
Infact if done right can bring great performance. look up the lancia s4, rally car of the 80's, 500hp out 0f a 2 liter engine. idea behind it is to get the low end performance of a supercharger and make up the top end with the turbo. idk if its worth doing anymore with modern turbo technology.

You kinda answered your own question, modern turbos spool up so quickly now. Also, from a practical standpoint, with either you would exceed the block strength, with both....kaboom. Not to mention heads that could supply the cylinders.

Are you referring to the Hunts TT dragster? If so, while impressive, that is a very high-end race engine. Also, the OP asked about both turbo and supercharging on the same engine.
If a guy is handy, he could fab up a twin turbo street set-up for a fairly reasonable amount of money. But, it would take a lot of work, welding up the plumbing, induction, timing, etc. There was a guy over at V8buick who did it on a 350. IMO, the easiest and most cost-effective way to add boost on an Olds is to use a bolt on charger like a Procharger made for a SBC and modify the brackets. No exhaust issues, fairly straight-forward, really. Nor super cheap or easy, but easier than the other options, IMHO.
