Choosing/designing a 350 street cam?

Does anyone here have a solid recommendation for a solid street performance cam for a 350? I'm relatively new to Olds motors, and started working on a cam design last night. The design numbers I'm coming up with aren't even close to the aftermarket cams I'm finding. I'll put a few more evenings into the design, but it looks like I'll end up with a custom grind. I'm using DynoSim5 to repeatedly test alterations in design until I come up with an optimal balance of tq/hp. Numbers are seriously inflated, but I stopped and 350hp/525tq last night which probably equates to a real 300/450. Yes I'm a big fan of torque, and the engine design promotes it. A similar cam in a 350 Chev makes 375/375.

The guy to talk to here about cams is Mark Remmel (CutlassEFI).

He does sell them, but aside from that, he is very experienced with Olds cams, and is a good guy to throw your ideas at and come up with a plan.
It sounds like you've done your homework and understand what you're talking about - that will lead to the most productive conversation.

Agreed, talk to Mark Remmel, I bought my cam from him, and I am VERY happy with it, everything from performance (no track times yet) to idle sound/quality.

The simulators are nice, but there is something to be said for real world experience, its amazing how little things that pop up in the actual application can change their behavior.

I've got a couple other cams under my belt like a roller lifter cam in an MGB (never been done before) and a Datsun L20b truck cam to run Bonneville. I also just chose a SBC cam this way, since one on the market was a very close match, and it produced the power numbers I expected. A couple more nights of optimization and I'll have this design ready. I will make a point of running the numbers past Mark when they are done. He'll probably wonder what the hell I was thinking. Truth is, my numbers won't really be done until I see head flow numbers. For now all I can do is use the numbers Dr. Olds' kid has listed for his aftermarket heads, and I have to assume his flowbench is calibrated to a set of calibration plates.

Your factory heads flow around 180 intake /145 exhaust, I believe. I have Mark doing a custom cam for me. I want good manners and 13's from my 350. My #6 heads have 2"/1.625" valves with bowl and port work, dual springs and 9.5 to 1 compression, should not be far off stock Procomps. A pair of Procomp heads milled down to 70 CC from Bernard Mondello would be a nice upgrade. Too bad Procomp or Edelbrock don't offer 2 chamber sizes, one in 67 CC would be awesome for 350's and 403's.
