Searching to see if they have a non Ralley pack tach for next to the speedo? I currently have an aftermarket unit that’s junk retrofitted in there so I was seein if there was a non tic tock option and if so did anyone have one available? Thanks

68 442 tach

On my '68 Cutlass race car, with factory dash pad, I installed an AutoMeter Monster Tach. It literally just pushed into the opening and was held in place by the pressure of the dash pad.

Those are all '70-'72 dashes; completely different from a '68-'69. There is no removable front trim plate on the '68-'69s and the gauges are mounted in individual plastic shrouds, which are then attached to the dash pad.

You are correct, I'm wrong. Thanks for pointing that out.

So on my 70 I used a Sun Super Tach. I cut out a factory blank where the clock would be to mount it. Can you not do the same in a 68-69? I am not familiar.
