WTB 1970 442 bypass clamps

I'm looking for 2 pair of bypass clamps for my 1970 442 W30. The clamps that inline sell are too big and don't fit correctly. Even when you tighten them all the way the hose still leaks. I've bought several from them and returned them all. Others have to have this same issue. Where can I find a quality part or if you have some for sale, let me know

Chris

Sometimes it is the thickness of the hose that is wrong. I used their clamps on my W-30 and worked good. They were the same size as the originals I had. This was back in 2015 so maybe something has changed?

I tried installing the ILT double wire bypass hose clamps on a customer's '70 442 a few weeks ago and they were useless. Yes, they seem to be made one size too big BUT the wire was also shaped/curved wrong out where the ends of the two wires terminate which made them pretty much impossible to install.

I compared them to originals and to Fusick's repros and neither of those had the wrongly shaped/curved wire ends. We ended up using Fusick's clamps (used ILT pinch clamps for the heater hoses) and they seem to seal up just fine. At least one of the ILT double wire radiator hose clamps was impossible to install as well. These are not well made or correctly shaped. Try using Fusick's and see if you can find a bypass hose with a slightly thicker wall. The Fusick clamps are also a bit larger than the originals BUT they are shaped/curved correctly.

I've batted 0 for 3 on the last three items from ILT. Not batting there any more whenever possible.

Sorry, I was thinking the wrong hose. For some reason I thought you were talking about the heater hose clamps. Big difference, lol. Not sure where I got that, you clearly said bypass hose

Chris - Just be aware that the hose clamp kit from Fusick DOES NOT have the correct "pinch" style clamps for the '70 HEATER HOSES. They put those earlier style Corbin clamps in for the heater hoses. ILT carries the "flat band" style pinch clamps for the heater hoses on a '70.

Agreed, I'm buying bybass clamps from Fusick and use the pinch clamps from ILT. Good information

I wish these fenders would only sell what really works. Getting negative feedback on your products in not worth the effort in selling a product or hearing customers bash your crappy products.
