Correct clamps for bypass hose?

Hey all...
I'm looking for the correct style hose clamps for the bypass hose on my '72 U code Supreme. I see two different ones on the interweb, so not sure if it's the wire style or the band style...can those that know clarify pls?

Thx,
Dave

The Wittek style clamp is correct for 71-72, the double wire style are for earlier models. Be careful with that bypass hose. The resto houses version with the big ink stamped numbers is made out of incredibly flimsy and thin rubber. These can fail and spray you engine compartment with a sticky coolant bath. Use a Gates or Goodyear bypass hose. It is worth it!!

Uh oh...does the same hold true for the upper and lower rad hoses as well? I ordered those too...and what about the GM stamped belts?🤔... need to ASAP know so I can cancel my order on the hoses if need be.

This actually applies to 74, but the 74 Cutlass Assembly Manual shows double-wire clamps used on Lansing cars and the Wittek towers for all other assembly plants. May be the same other years. More Olds weirdness...

Thanks but I'm trying to find out if the repop upper and lower hoses are durable? I ordered those from The Parts Place and my bypass hose from Year One...

Aren't those show car restoration hoses and you're not expected to actually drive your car with them?

The repo rad. hoses themselves are OK for normal usage. The bypass hose on the bend is where you very well might have a failure. Even the original ones were prone to fail - that is why Olds changed the design in '71 to the metal tube with short connecting hose type.

Ahhh...so that 'splains the difference...I was wondering why the two different designs.🤔
