WANTED: Rocker Stands 400 67

Looking for (3) Rocker Stands to fit 67 400 motor.

Don't need rocker arms, but just the rocker stands.

These are made out of what I call 'pot metal', bolt to the head, and hold the rocker arms.

Thanks.

The older style 66-69 rocker setups are 4 pieces if I remember correctly.
There are 2 rocker arms, 2 small "D" shaped rocker arm pivots, and 1 strap that ties the 2 together. These were tougher steel than pot metal in my opinion.

The pot metal rocker arm setup is just the 2 rocker arms and a 1 piece pot metal bridge that ties the 2 together. The pivot and strap are 1 piece.

Which setup do you have?

In either case Auto Zone will have Melling stock replacement parts on the shelf pretty cheap.

Part number MRM-1798 Rings a bell.

I remembered it because I'd like to have 17 Olds 98's.

yes, the Melling replacement part is as you described as well. The ones in my car were a cast alloy type part, but I have no idea if that is original or not. Was just trying to match what was in the car, but if I have to, I'll just use the Melling replacement.

Thanks,

In 66 Olds went to the one piece aluminum pivot and bridge for each pair of stamped steel rockers.
