I am looking for a 4 speed tunnel for 69 442. This a non-console car, there is a small hump. Previous owner hacked up the hole to put chevy combo in or for access to shifter.

If your tunnel is the same as an automatic car, I'm sure I can provide one. Just need to know how big of an area you need.

I'm pretty sure the non console cars got the same hump as the console cars did in 68-69. They hacked a holes with a torch and tack welded the hump in.

thats my understanding also. the hump just isn't as pronounced as the one on 70-72 cars

 

Here is a picture of what they did. They put a piece of galvanized steel to cover everything up. It was a hack job. I take it that the sealant on the top right was where the hump was. I am not too familiar with manual trans cars. Just trying to get parts put together for this.

If you're into functionality and not originality I'd clean up the edges of the current hole, get a section from an auto car, locate the shifter, cut a hole, (before mounting the section), roll the inside edges of the hole, and butt weld in the section.

I made a wood template to make a hump but I wish I had rolled the inside edge like the original was. The inside is squarer than the original hump was but it does the job

BUT, it's not entirely accurate to Olds (Buick/Poncho, maybe?). The hole is a bit smaller & slightly different shape than an Olds hole so it may need a little bit of tweaking...

 

I would be interested in just the hump, than I can get any tunnel.
