Murphy motors license plate frames

Desire two Murphy Motors license plate frames in halfway decent condition. Murphy Motors was located in Coos Bay, OR, from about 1954 to 1972. Frames had a shamrock in each lower corner. Murphy Motors area of influence was on the Oregon coast and ranged from about Florence, OR, to Crescent City, CA.

Did you ever locate a Murphy Motors license plate frames? I'm now looking for similar for my 1968 Road Runner sold at the dealership in 1968.

Never found any, despite advertising in the county seller newsletter. Still looking, though...even if I found one, I'd be happy with it! Murphy Motors was a mix of car brands, including Olds, Cadillac and Plymouth/Chrysler. I actually met the owner of Murphy Motors, Mr. Paul Murphy, back in 2011. His daughter lives in Hood River and he was there visiting so I took the '68 there to see if he remembered it. Not only did he remember it, his daughter remembered it as well. Paul's wife used to drive the '68 around town and his daughter remembered riding in the back seat, as well as decorating the car with black construction paper polka dots for some event they attended back in the day. I even asked Paul at that point if he had any extra memorabilia (such as license plate frames) from Murphy Motors but he said no. But it was fun to meet and talk with him and he signed the glove box for me.

Randy,
Very Interesting, I will keep your contact information if I run across a license plate or two in the future. Cheers.

Randy,
Thanks for sharing the Murphy Motors ad. I'll print a copy on photo cardstock, trim and share at car shows when I show my car.

For Tri-Carb: Thank you for finding the Murphy Motors advertising post card. Pretty neat - I've never seen one of those until now!

For Terry: That should look pretty neat with your car. A friend of mine in Reedsport found that ad in her parent's materials that they had saved for several years. She knew I had a car from Murphy Motors so when I saw her last she gave it to me (about 2-3 years ago).
