Driveshaft needed.

Thanks, but my original from the turbo 350 measures 55.25 from center of u-joint to center of u-joint with a 5 " 27 spline yolk. I need a 32 spline yolk for the turbo 400. The turbo 400 is 3/4" longer than the 350. I noticed in my assembly manual that there are about 5 different driveshafts for the Cutlass depending on trans and rear, however they do not give specs.
Thanks
Kevin

I would expect the different lengths are due to the th350,th375 and the th400 being used. That with the rear end choice and a lot of shafts are possible. I had to make my own driveshaft for my 74 delta 88. Had a th375 with an open 12 bolt. Got a th400 with a posi. Same rear different yoke's . Had to cut the th400 yoke to give allow for driveshaft/rear end movement.Good luck.

I have one out of a '72 Cutlass convertible that had a T-400 in it. We swapped in a 700-r4 for the overdrive. The T-400 shaft has about 1,000 miles on it since it came from the driveline shop, balanced with new u-joints. It measures 54 3/8" center to center on the u-joints.
