What is the "insert" you are referring to?? The woodgrain/"chrome" insert?? The "adapter" that holds the upper/outside boot?

Yes, I’m pretty sure that they are all cast in black dyed to the prescribed color, so I figured fuchsia is probably acceptable.😂. Thank you for your reply.😀

 

Thank you Patton, It’s been an exhausting week for me. (Sun/wind) I’m ready to go back to work tomorrow for some rest and relaxation!! I’m needing a center console two piece glovebox insert for a ‘70-72 Cutlass.

Thanks again for your inquiry Patton, I’m very seriously considering a manual conversion for my wagon. I am considering converting my dual gate console auto to a manual transmission console…. If I can manage to find the right bits to make it happen at a price point that is reasonable at my limited income level, like to do so. Perhaps I’m unreasonable, but I’d like to test the waters!😀. I bet he means the 2 plastic halves that actually create the floor of the glove box.

 

He did say he needs that but he ALSO mentions something related to the manual transmission. Console glovebox liners are the same - auto or 4 spd manual.

Be aware. The dual gate consoles have an area cut out for the shifter plate that the regular auto and manual inserts may not cover (bottom diagram in image below). You may want to see if the wood grain inserts are tall enough to cover the knock out from the dual gate shifter plate before cutting the hole for the 4 speed insert.


As for the manual insert itself, I used the reproduction available from the parts place and others. It is a nice piece overall.
