I was directed to drums from Kanter but was wondering if anyone had any turnable originals or disc brake conversions for my delta before I spent $250 on a pair from Kanter
That and a hub assembly since my dust cap (New and old ones) do not fit well. It looks like the dust cap hole is out of round Here is my drums for refence
Can come from any 59-70 full-size Olds. The left front hub/drum from a 59-63 car will have LH thread lug nut studs. Have the machine shop change them out for 1/2-20 RH thread studs while they're turning the drum.
1959 - 1964 Oldsmobile Front Brake Drums are 11" x 2 1/2".......
1965 - 1970 Oldsmobile Front Brake Drums are 11" x 2 3/4".......
Clearly, they A R E. N O T the same....
Your information, rocket raider, is erroneous....
Craig's info is correct: 2.5" front lining width is what is shown in the 1964 Chassis Service Manual, 2 3/4" in the 1965-69 CSMs (FYI, disc brakes were standard equipment on all 1970 Olds full size cars).
Here you go, pulled from a 68 Delta Custom 15 years ago been in my shed , plenty of meat there, no ridges and a light sanding and they should clean right up.
$50 for the pair you cover the shipping from zip 47025 Southeastern, Indiana...
