The person selling apparently read the rules....he posted a price, etc. Everyone else should read the rules as well.

I have "no dog in this fight" but the posting rules, I assume, are here for a reason. I buy and sell parts on this site and risk pissing off people by posting this response BUT folks are free to ask whatever they want for parts so live with it....or send the seller a PM if you have questions or don't "like" his pricing.

Just because he asks it don't mean he will get it. The going rate for F heads is $1500 to $3500 based on how much they were cut before, to mint uncut sets.

Ok here we go, I had 2 other buddies that sold there F-heads and got $8000 for them, if you don't like the price then don't worry about it, and stop crying. All that means is you don't have the money to own them! I have someone everyone would like to own and if I don't sell them, then they will just go back on my shelf no lost to me.

You started it and everybody knows what was meant by your question. 70Post has it right. I for one have seen parts & car appraisers here. It's nobody's business what a seller asks or wants for anything. The market will determine what something is worth. I've seen some outrageously priced parts and I never comment on them & I also never give my opinion to a seller when they ask what something is worth. There are a couple of guys here who are really bad about pricing another guys stuff when they are not asked and it's wrong-period.

Believe it or not, that was actually a truthful question. I had no idea F Heads had an asking price as high as that. Really only thought D heads were the ones going for big money since they are so rare. I was curious if it was a misprint by the seller and was hoping he'd chime in. I probably should have messaged him but I didnt. Sorry for the misinterpretation people.

although its at the expense of a thread and not saying right thing to do but alot of times members figure out true value of a part from input by other members, new enthusiasts join the hobby everyday and its somewhats of a fact check...
