changed from st300 to 350 turbo but?

I changed me tranny from the old st300 to a 350 turbo on my 64 olds. But the 350 has no plug on it anyplace for the electrical plug for the backup lights and i guess the neutral safety switch. Do the newer ones work in a different way than the old cars do? Like maybe switched at the column? Other than that the tranny switch was no problem.

Column shift auto had neutral switch and reverse light switch at base of steering column. Now that you have a 3 speed there will be an extra position on the PRNDL indicator.

thanks so now i have to figure out how to make mine work. And about the extra gear for shifter im thinking of going with an aftermarket floor shifter that looks like a 4-speed. OH! duh,the new shifter should have something for the switch.

Um, the ST300 didn't have those plugs on the trans either...

The only electrical plug on the ST300 was for the kickdown and the switch pitch torque converter. The TH350 doesn't use those. The neutral safety switch and the backup light switch were on the shifter and won't change when you change the trans.

Not sure how what I wrote was a "beat down", but in any case, welcome.
