changed the wheels on the 85 442
i changed the wheels to see what it would look like. i don't typically like aftermarket wheels but they don't look to bad. the tires that were on the car were shot and i wanted to drive this car to see how it would drive. i got it 3 months ago or so and only drove it on the junk tires, WOW what a difference. this car is tight and drives very nice. it need some work and a paint job but may post it for sale soon. i have a guy wanting it but if it don't work out i will post it for sale. these cars shift harder than i thought they would. i tested the cruse and it worked but after about 8 miles the cable broke. hard to believe this car is as good as it is after sitting for 5 years before i got it.

I also tend to be more purist with Olds wheels, but ya did good on this one. They look really nice, now all they need is a center cap and dress up that silver paint on the rockers...
Great looking car! Like you said they are really tight and good handlers with as simple a fix as new "good" rubber.
Broken cruise cable?? No sweat. Lots of them in the boneyard. Up here a cable would go for about $2.00. Get a couple just in case.

the tires and wheels were some i just had around from a 69 cutlass i took them off of and sold the car. i am going to let them go with the car. and put the original set in the trunk. the car looks a little better in the picture than it is. it's not rusted out but the paint is shot.
