472 olds roller engine and trans for sale

hello- i'm new here so bear wth me. i have a 1969 455 and a short shaft 400 for sale. the motor is fresh from machine shop and tranny just gone through.intake to oil pan. looking to sell both. they are located in chiefland florida. email for pictures and information. very nice condition. has not been run since return from shop. was in 1969 prostreet 442. sold car . will take best offer for each.. 352-493-1832. sickpair@bellsouth.net thanks john also have trunk lid for 1969 cutlass hard top, copper color with no rust. also best offer.

How did you get the discplacement of 472? Not being smart, just curious.

Isn't a 455 bored .030 over 472ci? Or is it 461? I can't remember.

Well, those are the two "bored out" discplacements I am familiar with but I have heard of stroker combos that use rods from chevy or ford so I wasn't sure, I guess that might be possible.

If that was the case, it would be an unusual combination and I would have expected a more complete description.

I have heard that you can go .120 over on some engines. Probably Chevys.

The rebuild info including piston size should be on the engine rebuild receipt?

You can go either 1.100 or .110 on d/dx deisel blocks. I know that that is a big difference, just can't remember which, I think its the 1.100, because from 350 you can get near 500 ci, so I've heard.
