I've been using them on my last 4 builds ( primer to clear). Used their primer on a few cars before that. Once you get the hang of a new paint, it's no problem. Quality seems real good, or I wouldn't use them. As for longevity, we will see. Before I used Dupont for stock colors, and HOK for custom. I don't use cheap versions of paint (Nason, Omni), with all the stripping, metalwork, bodywork and labor I put into a car before paint! You can certainly get a very nice finish with the products. but a good sanding and buffing can achieve that with most paints. 1980 Z-28 in my shop now. Even the stripes and lettering are done in paint. Used "Murdered out" black from Tamco. 65 Skylark, in BMW Tanzanite Blue.

Awesome, which of there clear coats did you use? glamour or the more high solids one which I don’t recall the name
I've used the 'regular' high solids clear, and the Euro clear. Both work well, once you get used to spraying them. Of course, this depends on your spraying style, and what gun, cap & needle size, etc. I use and IwataLPH model, with 1.4 for clear. Sata for basecoat.
I’ve used their candy concentrates a few times, but one of the last ones I sprayed, this is what I ran into in the middle of a job. When I contacted them, they were not very responsive. When they did respond, they basically tried to convince me that this is normal. I’ve been doing this professionally for 3 decades. This is not normal. Bottle after bottle, same result.
Shortly after I noticed they quietly removed the Tamgerine candy from the website for a while. I couldn’t even get more to finish this job. I made it work, but only because of 30 years worth of problem solving skills in the booth and the job didn’t come out quite like I expected. It really needed another 1-2 coats of candy but that just wasn’t possible.
Tamco can go **** themselves. I will order my candies and other specialty products from The Spray Source from now on. At least I know Tommy will make it right if there’s a problem.
This one was also painted with Tamco Hustlin Green candy over Cadillac diamond black 3-stage. So not all of their products are bad, but using them is a roll of the dice in my opinion.
I think I will pass then, seems inconsistent and the mention of poor service is a turnoff. Paint is to damn expensive to make mistakes on and then not have superior service if a problem arrives. I read a lot of positive reviews on them, but listening here I am now skeptical?
