I need to paint the rather ragged elastomeric filler panel located between the rear bumper and the license plate / gas filler area on our '76 Salon. Years ago I painted it with local-auto-parts-store-grade silver paint for plastic . . . but now that has worn off and it looks terrible on what is an otherwise pretty nice-looking car.

So what is the best brand of silver paint for such a chore? I really don't want to get into the whole mix-it-up-and-shoot-it-from-a-gun hassle.

O'Riellys Auto Parts stores stock Duplicator paint (rattle can) in silver for flexible bumpers.I've not used it, but Duplicator makes pretty good paint in spray cans. Good luck,
