61 f85 right exhaust manifold

Hi , i would like to know what is the function about the "little box" on the right exhaust manifold ?

I don't have much experience with the Non turbo setup but I believe that has to do with the hot air pipe to the choke? The hot air pipe is on the other side for the turbo setup.

thanks for your reply but the hot air for choke is at the middle of the manifold so i am thinking this another application but for what ???

I don't know what intake manifold you have, but Eric is correct. The box on the manifold is the hot air stove for the choke. There should be a small diameter metal pipe from that box to the choke coil housing on the carb. The stock intake on the 215 does not have an exhaust crossover, so there is no way for hot exhaust to provide any heat for the choke from the intake manifold. There is a hot water passage under the carb, but that does not provide heat to operate the choke.
