1975 omega may be joining me
As the title says, my sis in law just called me that her dad has a 75 omega 2nd owner 70k miles. Sounds like a good deal I'm planning to check it out tomorrow soooo i'll post pics and find out more of the goods on it. Is there anything i should be wary of on this model?

there is one for sale in Louisville, and the owner swears it's an Olds 350,not a Buick .
but as you can see,he's not correct.

I would be wary of the fact that some think the Omega looks a little bit like a Chebby Nova or Poncho Ventura if it matters. In the correct light and at just the right angle if you squint your eyes and look closely you can see a slight resemblance. Both in the GM family so I guess it can be expected.
They aren't bad looking, besides those huge bumpers they're pretty groovy.
What body style is it? A 4 door sedan would be cool.

I went to look yesterday and of course forgot to snap off pics, but anyway its a 2 door silver with red interior. It needed a paint job and the a/c recharged but aside from that it ran nice (had the 260) auto all original. Hopefully uncle sam hurries with that refund.

They are the same car! Much of the sheet metal is common. Unlike the 60s, when GM's divisions actually tried to build different-looking cars off of common platforms, by the late 1970s they were barely mailing it in. One of the worst examples is the 77-90 B-body wagons. From the firewall back, the sheet metal is identical and completely interchangeable. Only the front clip and dash board are different.

^^^^^ these are actually the reasons the guys wife does not want to sell the car cause "i love novas but was never able to find one, and this thing looks just like one". I'm not concerned with that at all, it helps finding parts that much easier compared to my dynamic which is absolutely horrible to fond parts for. All in all i may get it, he uses it as his daily which is a good thing for me cause my dynamic still needs a ton of odds and ends to be a reliable daily and imma sucker for olds
