Does anybody know the correct size of the window sealant you use to seal the back window? "The Rope Tape stuff"

Assuming your pinchweld area is in good shape (not rusted), you don't need anything else. Installing the windshield is a two person job. The most important thing is to ensure that the glass is properly centered in the opening. Use the rubber setting blocks included in the kit to hold the glass off the bottom, but be sure the side to side clearance is even. Do not try to install the stainless trim if the glass is too close to one side (and DO NOT ask how I know this... ).

Once the pinchweld is clean, set the windshield outside down on padded sawhorses. I like to wipe down the area where the sealing tape goes with degreaser. Gently press the tape into place around the edge of the glass. Be sure you pinch the tape together at the joint. I usually put the joint at top center. Peel the backing paper off the tape. With one person on each side, pick up the glass and walk it into place on the car. Be sure the door windows are open. Set the bottom of the glass on the setting blocks and start to tip the glass up into place. Before you go past vertical, take your hand closest to the car and go around the A pillar, so that you can catch the glass on the inside of the opening. Now tip the glass the rest of the way into place. Carefully go around the perimeter of the glass, pressing the tape into place with the palm of your hand. Water test the seal with a hose before installing the stainless trim.

Thanks Joe, I'm will be attempting this in the near future as well. How to you center the glass side to side so the gaps are even for the stainless? Also, do you need those clips to install the windshield or are those installed later? Anything different for the front glass?
