Why do you use this Site?
I check in daily and really enjoy the site. There is not a lot of bickering and the answers are usually spot on. I never considered an Olds until I got my 66 starfire, good luck finding info on them anywhere else! I now find myself checking out more and more Olds vehicles, I have always been a chevy guy. I think I am getting drawn into vehicles that are more unique and this is the perfect site for it. I also frequent the HAMB, but there is a bit too much bickering at times. THANKS TO ALL THAT CONTRIBUTE AND OFFER HELP TO THOSE WE HAVE NEVER MET AND LIKELY WILL NEVER MEET!!!!
I joined this site not too long ago, and I really like it. I have done a few posts, and included pics of my restoration. The feedback and help I have gotten has been really good. I have seen threads where things get a bit out of hand, but nothing really nasty. I have been on other sites that are much more worser...
Well first off this is one of the only olds sites i can access at work(where i spend most of my time). So convience is #1. #2 My olds is my first car i've really gone this in depth with. I've basicly replaced or modified almost every thing on the car. So i come here with questions or to bounce ideas off someone else. I also seem to have this problem(as my family calls it). I have to have a car to tinker with if not life somewhat looses meaning. So when i'm at work this is my outlet i get to see what other folks are working on and post pics of my project <---------I LOVE THAT PART

Why I Use This Site!
I was just wondering.....Why do you use this site. I was looking at the members list and there are a LOT of members with zero or just one post and that single post is a question (answered or not). Please respond as I am trying to get an idea on how many people check this site out daily and why there isn't more activity on it.
I'm new to "old" Olds' and have found that the guys and gals here offer some really pertinent information on aspects of owning and restoring these beautiful automobiles. Many of the "classic" cars that are featured here, I have owned. I'm 79 years old. I have had every question that I have asked answered in a kind, courteous way.
Keep up the great work, and thanks to the Admins and Mods!

Hi all, just joined up about a month ago,I have wanted to restore an older car for a long time allways liked the big olds,a freind had one stored in a barn for the last 25 years and was tearin down the barn and selling the car I loved the car the first time I saw it.got it and started seaching for info, well I found a lot of info on this site so I joined up.I am on site just about every day reading older post and checking new ones.Seems to be a good bunch of people here with a lot of knowledge,I don't reply often because I don,t know much about olds or gas engs /I am a deisel tech works on semi trucks at a dealer so I do know how to handle a wrench,as time goes by I may reply more often when I have something useful to say, untill then I'll just hang back and listen.can't type can'spell and pretty well computer illiterate.Took 20 min. to type this bit. drive careful.

If you can do diesels, you can do gas! Main difference is gas engines have lower compression and the older ones have carburetors.
Piece of cake!
Good luck....
