Muffler reccomendations?
Alot of folks speak highly of the Dynomax mufflers by Walker. I have Thrush glasspacks on my 71 98 and they are quite loud.
You should consider taking your Olds to a local exhaust shop. The owner can give you advice and may have a "house brand" turbo muffler that sounds good and will save you some money.

Another vote for Dynomax.
I have used the Magnaflow on my 62, mainly because it fit better in that specific application. I was less than thrilled with the sound quality. At first it was loud and agricultural sounding. Over time, the sound got quieter. I attribute this to either my failing hearing or (hopefully) the fact that the fiberglass packing is getting loaded with carbon soot and thus becoming more sound absorptive.
I don't believe that the Dynomax have packing. I've always been happy with the sound quality and volume in numerous applications over the years.
