Hard to find someone that weighed their car with out engine and trans. Lots of pushing around. Good luck on that one. My 64 F-85 was 3300 with 455-400 trans so take off engine weight and trans and there you go.

 

Just guessing but I'd say 1000#'s easily

 

Are you saying 1000 lbs for engine and trans sounds close.

 

He asked about the bare body. I'm guessing it weighs about 1000 pounds.
I'd put the engine about 675 pounds and the transmission between 150-200 pounds depending on model.

 

depends.post or hardtop.also is the "tub"firewall back complete or stripped to the bone.for comparison i have my 66 ss chevelle stripped,no glass,interior no doors,trunk lid.i can grab it and pick any side up off the frame.i would say 600-750 lbs.
