There is a half inch dia (approx) hole about 1 inch to the right of my ashtray (lined up with the centerlineof the ashtray door) on my 68 Cutlass S conv. Is this a factory hole? Any idea what might have went there?

That's not a factory hole.

 

Thanks Joe, I figured it wasn't stock.....now I have to fill a hole in the dash.
