Serious question about ring gap

Serious question about ring gap
So I'm going to look at a 6.0 lq9 in the morning. He gapped the rings at .30 for boost. Will I have any issue or oil consumption running N/A with that gap? I may boost in the future, but not for a while. Thanks in advance.
