That was entertaining.... but living in a free country give us this right.

I think this car is nicely done & I complimented it numerous times during the build.
Would I do this to my 66 442, no.
Would I be proud to own the car above, yes.

Now if I had a 67 427/435 Vette, I could sell it & buy both a factory W30 & an LS swapped twin & probably have money left over...
Never mind, I would keep the Vette as that's one of my favorite cars ever..

Karma has nothing to do with it. I have a turbo LS swapped 71 cutlass that has given me zero issues since completion. Drive it to work atleast once a week, then breweries and car shows on the weekends. Thousands of troublefree miles over the last 3 years.

Some people just can't help from expressing an opinion no one asked to hear. What exactly did you expect to find in the one section of this site dedicated to NON-OLDS powered cars? If you don't like what was done perhaps you should stick to the other sections. The new 408 is making a lot more power and is a heck of a lot lighter than the original 455 so if the owner is happy all is good. Instead of whining try being happy for a guy who now owns his dream car.

A/C System

Awesome Car! Very Nice Build! I will be doing similar to my 1969 442 convertible with a tired 455 installed currently. As I am also in TX, my question is directed to your A/C system. My system is currently not working and I will be fixing when I change the engine soon. Do you run the R-12 refrigerant replacement or 134A? On a 1-10 scale how is the cooling performance of the system. I didn't notice any pics of A/C box off of the firewall. So I am guessing your mechanics just replaced the necessary parts and recharged the system. Thanks for any information that would help me on this.

Very cool.I think you will be happy with the LS motor as i am..My AC cooling system is the original except it is R134A..The original owner changed that..However, I did order the VINTAGE AIR system for my car two week's ago.. Should be here soon??? Much better cooling system than the factory currently on the car..However, i do have one case of 12-can's of R-12 left...
