Ignition lock cylinder 64 98
Ok, so when I bought this car and joined this site, I said that I would have lots of questions.
If you don't pay attention when turning off the vehicle, it is possible to remove the key in the assy position, thus leaving the "gen" light and other assys on. My gut tells me that its the ignition lock cylinder itself, that it's worn and allowing you to pull the key out without resistance.
What do you think, and if it is a cylinder, where would you get one? The keys look relatively good, but that doesn't mean the cylinder is worn out.

Ignition Switch & Tumbler

I have the ignition switch and tumbler (separate) brand new -- N.O.S.
U.S.A. and maybe even ++ DELCO ++ (have to look up '64 when I get
out of here -- I'll let you know later......

I had the same problem with my 63 98 convertible, I started the car pulled the keys out and opened the trunk (glove box was locked) and forgot the keys in the lock. We went out for a drive and had a guy honking and honking and when he finally caught up he told me my keys were dangling from the trunk.
The following day I called Fusick and ordered new matching locks for the car, now I can't pull the key.
