Where is the coolant sensing unit

My 1968 Olds 98 convertible was finally delivered by the transport company last Monday. I had some coolant issues. The bottom hose pipe busted. Replaced both the top and the bottom hose. It seems the thermostat needs to be replaced as well as the coolant sensing unit. Can someone tell me where the coolant sensing unit is located on the 455-4BBL engine? Thanks

The thermostat is in the thermostat housing in the front of the engine connected to the upper radiator hose. The coolant temperature sensor is threaded into the intake manifold coolant jacket next to the thermostat housing.

Post pics of your Olds, stat!
