No. GM VINs for 1964 didn't tell you much more than you could glean by just looking at the car.

884M043673

8 = 8-cylinder engine
8 = 98 series
4 = model year 1964
M = Lansing assembly plant
043673 = serial/production/sequence number at the Lansing plant.


You can get some of the information you're looking for on the body cowl tag, which should be mounted on the firewall under the hood, either on the driver's or passenger side. If you can find it, take a clear photo of it and post it here. If you post photos of the car itself, we can tell you the body style immediately.
