proud new owner of a real project 57

Been looking a long time for a local, affordable 57 and finally found it. Needs alot of work but its all there except for the floor pans and rockers. Any experiences out there sourcing these parts?

Welcome Donn. It is always good to see another 50's Olds on here. There are a bunch of us with 50's cars. I don't believe anybody does replacement floor pans for the 57. The demand is just not there to justify the cost to tool up for them. Hopefully you can find some good used ones from a dry climate. I really like the 57. Please post some pictures when you have the chance. We all love pictures on here. This is a good place for Oldsmobile lovers. Good folks here with lots of knowledge.

I saw some replacement floor pans for '57 & '58 on e-bay a few years ago. I think they were from the east coast, FLA?

I used that guys stuff on my 55 88 build. It’ll fill the hole, but it needs a ton of massaging to fit and make look nice.

I got my hands on an Arizona 4 door parts car and literally tore all of that Ebay stuff out and used the OE metal. Was worth the agony of redoing everything.....

Desert valley auto in Casa Grande AZ has a bunch 55-57 88s & 98s. Most are picked over but there’s still a lot of good parts. I found a radio delete plate for my 55 88 sitting on the floor in a car there.....the clips were sitting there too.

They get new stuff more often than you think too. Got the “y” shaped grill opening moldings off a car they just took in a few months ago. You never find those......

Probably not cheap, but may be the only source?

Donn, Welcome to the site. I have a '57 "88" 2 door sedan waiting its turn. Everything is there, including a lot of floorboard work. I am trying to find floor pans myself, so keep in touch, maybe I'll find a manufacturer. Where are you in Wisconsin ?
