Hello to all, good to be on this forum. I've been reading the threads and enjoying them. Just got my 57 Olds 2 months ago and am enjoying the heck out of it, especially fine tuning some of the areas that aren't working, like lights, gauges, heater, windshield washer, etc.

My first stumped issue is trying to get my windshield washer jar to function. It is suppose to work fine (purchased from a salvage yard and their 57 Olds); as I took on faith that all is well with its functionality. My problem is I do not know where to hook up the "Vaccum" hose and "Water" hose from the washer jar. The shop manual does not show this in the diagrams (at least I cannot find any reference to it). Anyone out there know where to hook up these two amall hoses - any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thumbs up All washed up

With the nozzles on the lid pointing at the fender, the forward one is vacuum and the rear one is washing up fluid, it goes to the double legged fitting above the heater and toward the centre of the dash; there are two hoses that are inside the plenum that feed the squirter nozzles... The vacuum hose on the jar comes from the fitting on the washer control on the dash...comes through the dash by the left hood hinge...

WAHOO!!! WELCOME TO CO

Another 57 Olds, we are growing in numbers, watch out 69'ers we are on the prowl. As you can see I am a big fan of 57 Olds, and the Super 88's with the J2 package are one of my favorites. I expect to see pictures soon.

Welcome. Post some pictures when you can. I expect to see bleached white cow skulls next to your car since you live in AZ.

Great hearing from all of you.

Thanks to all for your replies. A special thanks to Yellowstatue for the helpful information! I will be looking into hooking up the washer soon. I have photos of my car in my photo album, so please feel free to visit them in my profile - not aure yet how to post them elsewhere (if possible to do so).
Thanks again,
Dan
