Olds Newbie

Hey guys, just wanted to make my presence, Name is Shawn, I'm 26 and live in Kansas City. I've already been posting on the 88 threads. I just purchased my first Oldsmobile yesterday. It's a 1965 Oldsmobile Jetstar 88 convertible

The other classic car I own is a 1971 Buick Riviera, So i guess you could say I like those boats!

Met a lot of nice people here so far who have been very helpful. This is my first Oldsmobile, so I may have some stupid questions, I apologize in advance.

I've always been told "there are no stupid questions, just stupid answers". As long as you learn from those questions, it was well worth asking! And as long as your a GM guy, your fine....if you liked Fords, that a different story!

HA! Sorry! I just had to throw that in there. No offense to all the blue ovals lovers out there. A car guy/gal is a car guy/gal!

Welcome Shawn. I have a 71 boat-tail parked next to my 67 442 convertible and 69 Hemi Road Runner.

Unfortunately they're all die cast and parked on a shelf in the loungeroom.

One of my favourite shows, Due South, starred a 71 boat tail (or a few..a couple got destroyed). What a great shape. Due South had a great sound track...one of the best ever.
Found this little car chase via Google. Says it's a 72 Buick, but Ray Vecchio always said it was a 71.

Die-Cast is the way to go, much cheaper, and a lot less headache's.

That Video clip was awesome, but that was a 72 riviera in the video, you can tell by the front bumper and grille
