new to forums of any kind
I'm new to this forum thing. I guess I'm thinking this will be a good place to get assistance, and opinions on my new toy, I just recently purchaced a 1970 cutlass holiday coupe Its in fairly clean shape. It will need interior work and some mechanical work. I'm getting ready to start working on it.
The first things it will need is brakes and a water pump. New coil springs will also be needed because the rear end sits pretty low.

on the coil springs, I'm looking for a level ride to maybe a slight rake. Back in high school my friend and I used junk yard station wagon springs to achieve this look in his cutlass and my old chevelle. That was over twenty years ago though. Can I just buy a new set of stock springs or do I want to go with a heavier set? Thanks for the help

Welcome Steve. Good luck with your project.....We like to see pics
Changing rear springs on these cars is a pretty easy job, no special tools needed. Take you couple of hours or less.

I'm brand new to forums, but not great cars or neat Oldsmobiles. Previous rides have included '68 Cutlass convertible, '68 442 4-speed convertible, '69 F-85 sedan W-31 automatic, and a '69 Cutlass 2-door hardtop W-31 automatic. I have a 30-plus year collection of various parts I need to sell including a 7029255 UD carb I took off the '69 W-31 Cutlass in 1986. It was rebuilt back then and the car was sold without it, but the carb has sat in my shop since. I understand they are hard to find, but I have no idea how to price it as I have not seen one for sale with a price on it. I'm assuming the 'parts for sale' would be the place to sell it, but I have no idea how to price it. Suggestions on how to proceed would be appreciated. Thanks ...
