Newbie from nyc
Hello all my name is Rob from NYC and recently purchased my 1st olds a 1969 442 sports coupe matching numbers drive train (minus carb intake and dist) It's not a high option car a/c pwr steering and brakes, bucket seats floor shift that's about it. It looks good and is a hell of a lot of fun to drive. I'll be putting all the body moldings back on it over the winter and eventually I'll paint it the original trophy blue with white painted top but for now it's just cruising.

Hello Rob and welcome to the site. Thanks for joining us and showing your beautiful ride. There is a ton of information about our platform with supporting vendors who can get you where you want to go. Good luck and keep us posted!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. As to more about the car. It is a Fremont ca car that has spent most of its life in Arizona before going to the San Diego area before making its way to the east coast where I purchased it. The underside of the car is super clean and original something tough to come by around here. It's had a repaint and someone replaced seat covers and panels but they are white and not the original parchment plus the headrests were removed from the buckets and they were covered in the wrong style covers. I will correct this down the road but they are very clean so I'm not in a rush to change them out. The car had a bunch of electrical problems, bad fuel tank and sender that I had to sort through as well as dialing in the carb but it runs like a champ now. I'm going to upgrade to disc brakes and get some bigger tires next. Ive attached a pic of the data plate and will add more photos once I get the hang of it.

Welcome. Nice car! Be careful when you pull the tank. Most Fremont cars had the
build sheet between the tar paper and the tank. If you are able to read it, you will know
exactly what it came with. Good luck, she's purty.
Here's an example. Pulled from my 70 442 project, Fremont CA built unit.
I was able to find out it was a W-25 car with a 3.23 posi that it no longer retains...yet.
I have the rear and hopefully this Summer will be able to purchase the hood for it.

I have family in Bensenhurst, Dyker heights & Bay Ridge. I'm around there pretty often.
