Newbie to forum but definately not to Oldsmobiles

Picked up a 79 H/O over 4th July weekend,, havent owned an Olds in over 20 years however this will be my 18th,
Have owned 442s,W31s,H/Os,etc,etc..
Just saying howdy from Texas!

This was my moms,she bought it new, left it to me when she passed away,,has 51,000 original miles,,
I call it the spaceship.. :-)
Still have it ,probably never sell it.

Wow, you've got some great history with the brand. Welcome aboard and good luck with the new '79. Just curious, what made you pull the trigger on a '79 as it looks like all your previous cars have been '70-'72?

I have also had a 73 Cutlass Salon with a 455, , 73 H/O ,couple of 79 H/Os, but you are correct most my cars were 70-71-72.
My favorite body style of any car.
They are just so overpriced these days dont really care to take a second morgate to have one,,
the 79 Hurst Olds I always had a soft spot since it came out while I was in High School
and I got it for $6k..

Nice. Welcome to Classic Oldsmobile. I too have owned way to many Oldsmobile's to list ha ha. You have had some nice cars. Cool to see you are still an Oldsmobile man. 👍
