Hello, here is my sons 57 super 88 4 door hardtop 371 v8, automatic trans. He is only 12 so 4 years to teach him what I know about cars. He is totally excited.
This our first Oldsmobile we own, we have Chevys 4 of them....51 fleetline, 55 bel air 2 door hardtop, 55 suburban and 63 impala ss. So pretty much the same since they're all GM. I will have questions and hope I can find answers here. Thank you.

Woo Hoo! Awesome. I love the three glass panel rear windows. I call the curved side windows "opera" windows but I'm not really sure if that's what they're really called. But, I love them. Very nice.

Juan - Welcome, sweet car, your boy is a lucky young man! Sounds like you're a car guy, but I think you'll find rather quickly that nope, they're not "pretty much the same" just because it's a GM. However, you've come to the right place for information on those differences, and plenty of folks on here more than willing to help. Good luck with your project!

Welcome to C.O. Nice car. It looks like the "Cutlass Bronze Poly" paint. Polish it up and it should sparkle in the sunlight.

Juan your lineup sounds like you have some lowrider roots. I grew up around lowriders in Denver. Welcome Brother. Keep us updated. Teach that boy right. Sounds like you already have. Beautiful car.

I like that "Opera" windows. We fell in love with the 3 piece windows as well.

Nice find, welcome to ClassicOldsmobile and glad to see you involving your son in a hobby that you enjoy. More fathers should be doing so.

Welcome to the site. Great looking car. Doesn't look like it'll take much to get it back into shape. Good luck with it and have fun.
