New to the site-67 Cutlass Holiday Coupe, 1 owner

Hello everyone. My name is Julius, from Dallas TX. I'm several months into a restoration project of my mother's 67 Cutlass. She bought the car new in 67 in Dallas and it is time to bring it back to its former glory- or better. It has spent the majority of its life outside and was not running from 2000 till 2012. I got it running again in 2012, and parked it in a garage until several months ago when it was moved to the garage where the work is being done. I will post more pictures and explain a little more history about the car in the new thread I am starting in the major rebuilds and projects forum. The plan is to rebuild the original engine (330) and transmission (2 speed with switch pitch), upgrade the suspension and add front disc brakes.also add dual exhaust and most likely add 442 badging and a louvered hood (if I can find one!) Also planning to get rid of all the rust and repair the metal, new interior and paint.
My mother in 1967 with her new car. November 2017, just before disassembly

Welcome to the site! Not many can say they have a car of this vintage that's been in the family since new. I'm glad your able to restore and hang onto it. I've got a 4 door 1967 of the same color. I'll be watching your build thread. John

Cool story and cool car, fairly late build it is with the 7D on the trim tag which would be the 4th week of July in 67. Good Luck with the build!

Welcome to the site from another N Texan. I just got done reading your build thread, sounds exciting. If you have not already, consider joining the North Texas Olds club. A great bunch and a good resource.

Very cool! I love the picture of your mom. I have a simular one of my mom with her brand new 72 Cutlass. I wish we still had that car.
